Summary:

Solid Biosciences has an exciting new opportunity in IT for a proactive and hardworking individual to drive technical solutions from discovery through implementation. As a key member of the IT team and the organization, you will interact with both internal and external partners to build upon current systems, implement new systems, and implement process and best practice methodologies in the business environment.    

Key Duties & Accountabilities:

  • Operate as a point of contact and lead resource for system design, systems administration, system implementation, and tier 3 support for business and laboratory systems
  • Serve as the in-house expert and advisor on solutions to technical challenges
  • Represent the IT Team in a professional and positive manner, and work as a partner with other business units
  • Support and work with IT Technical staff, translating business requirements to technical requirements
  • Promote increased competencies, training, and support to other technical staff and their knowledge of systems and technology
  • Ensure all systems availability, functionality, integrity, efficiency, and maintain systems configuration
  • Oversee general security practices
  • Oversee a full range of SAAS products
  • Vendor management, incident reporting, and tracking
  • Performs other related duties and ad hoc projects as required

Knowledge: Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, and 5 years systems administration experience; life sciences industry experience preferred
  • Experience with cloud systems implementations required
  • Experience working within a lab environment, familiarity with common lab principles and systems strongly preferred
  • Technical experience or working knowledge of networks, systems, windows based operating systems, Active Directory, and Azure cloud
  • Experience in IAAS and SAAS implementation preferred
  • Technical understanding of network protocols, Data Center standards, networking, and security best practices
  • Experience working with SharePoint and O365, Azure, InTune, and Powershell scripting
  • OKTA, cloud storage and backup solutions preferred
  • Experience with HCI, VMWare, VSAN, NETAPP technologies
  • Azure Certifications, Microsoft Certifications, VMWare Certifications Preferred
  • Familiarity with GxP practices preferred

Travel Commitment: 

  • Occasional travel may be required
